An encore presentation cycle of 2022’s PEOPLE FIGURE dance + draw happening!
For 2023, visual artists Karen ARMSTRONG, Jeff PEELING,
Robert SIM, Derek BRUECKNER and Shereen RAMPRASHAD put pencil to the paper LIVE
to sketch the spontaneous human figuring of dancers
Sophie MILORD*, Shayla RUDD and Ian MOZDZEN
in this DURATIONAL dance + draw happening.***
Observe figure upon figure sketched out in response to the human figure in figuration.
This will serve to prepare us for a CLOSING COMPOSITION.
Sketching will pause at approximately 8:00pm.
What follows: a timed 25-minute INSTANT COMPOSITION dance + sketch
awash in the evening’s flurry of figures and figuring.
(***Please note: artist line-up varies by date.)
